I couldn’t agree more. Every Dunedin citizen is an ambassador for our city. If I’m in town I now make it a point to approach any visitors who look lost and offer help or advice. It only takes seconds but makes a huge difference to their impression of the city.

We agree with you comments of the carpet in KIng George Cottage and are on the lookout for suitable rugs.

Gordon is so right, there is no bad time to visit NZ and Dunedin.

One quick addition: we visited in mid-September, the weather was great most days. We have been to NZ in October, November and December and encountered all sorts of weather, so we can’t recommend any best time to visit. However, Gordon is a native Kiwi and we both agree, there’s no bad time to visit NZ and Dunedin was fabulous!

We booked our room from America while planning our trip to Dunedin and are glad we selected Tourist Court Cottages! The rooms were clean as was the well-stocked kitchen (pots, pans, utensils, silverware, plates, etc) and we were quite comfortable during our stay.

John and Pam were very helpful, even booking our visits to Dunedin’s sights before we arrived! Fabulous hosts!

My only complaint would be a need for carpet in the lounge, but that’s a minor flaw and easily corrected with a throw rug. There are plenty of restaurants and food shops nearby and lots to see within a short walking distance.

We will definitely stay there again and recommend Tourist Court Cottages to our fellow travelers.
